Fab Fit Friday: Smooth Operator
This weekend I’m going on a road trip and wont be home until Monday. I have tons of fruit in my house and I don’t want it to go bad.
I packed some for the road but also decided to make a breakfast smoothie to use it up. If you find that most of your fruit goes bad before
you eat it, try incorporating more of it into your meals. Add fruit to your salads, oatmeal, snacks or make smoothies. There are lots of fruits
you can still use even if they are going bad, one of my favorites is the banana.
This morning my smoothie had:
- 1/4 Cup Fat Free Place Chobani Yogurt (You can use any greek yogurt)
- 1 Tbsp of Honey
- 1 Packet Truvia
- 9 Raw Almonds
- 1/2 Prune Plum
- 1/4 Large Pear
- 6 Fresh Cherries Pitted
- 1 Small Banana
- 1/4 Cup Unsweetened Almond Milk
- 3 Large Ice Cubes (You can use as many as you’d like. The more the thicker)
Blend on high!
And enjoy!!
Smoothies are the perfect breakfast or snack food. They are full of healthy nutrients and can easily be devoured in less than five minutes making them perfect for busy mornings.
